Claptonite are a four piece band who cover the music of Eric Clapton from the Cream days to the present time. Claptonite are passionate about the music and thoroughly enjoy playing - a feeling which is instantly communicated to their live audiences. Claptonite will play anywhere in the country, and are shortly to embark on a mini-tour to Europe. Gigs can be anything from a one hour spot of selected highlights to a full theatre concert with a support act. The band are also available for private functions. Highlights of their gigs are the Cream rock tracks Sunshine of Your Love, Badge and White Room. The original Layla from Derek and the Dominoes is included, as is the acoustic version in the unplugged set. Well-known ballads such as Wonderful Tonight and Tears in Heaven are played alongside classic old blues tracks covered by Clapton. Popular tracks from the revival of Clapton's career in the 80's include Bad Love and Forever Man.

Eric Clapton has been a major international star since the mid
1960's, when he revolutionised electric guitar playing, with his
virtuoso performances in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. He has won an incredible 18 Grammies and is the only triple inductee into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of both The Yardbirds
and Cream and also as a solo artist). After Midnight were formed in 1985 in Newcastle upon Tyne, taking their name from the JJ Cale song, made famous by Eric Clapton. Their ability to re-create Clapton's electrifying stage performances, really caught the audience's imagination. In guitar/vocalist Mike Hall, the band possesses a front man who not only looks like Eric, he sings and plays guitar like him too! Mike has met Slowhand twice, and even received a message of encouragement from the guitar maestro (written on a Concorde menu). TYNE TEES TELEVISION were so impressed by After Midnight that they made a programme about them, called 'COVER THEIR TRACKS'. They filmed the band's concert at Newcastle Opera House, in front of nearly 600 ecstatic fans. It was shown in August 2000 and received rave reviews, leading to national recognition for the band. In 2001 they embarked on an extensive tour of UK Theatres. When the band started playing outside Newcastle, they had to think of a name
for the show which was easily recognisable by people in other
regions, who perhaps had not heard EC's hit record "After Midnight". They called the tribute show "CLASSIC CLAPTON". The band have toured regularly ever since.

Coldplace are a Coldplay tribute band who pride themselves on re-creating the sound and passion of Coldplay. The band believe that to give the audience the nearest experience to seeing Coldplay themselves, it's not enough to just simply play their songs live, but to also transmit the powerful feeling of Coldplay's songs across to the audience. Formed in late 2003 and after spending a considerable amount of time in rehearsals honing their skills, the band began gigging in earnest around the UK including some of the top tribute band venues such as The Limelight Club in Crewe, The Horn in St Albans and The Brook in Southampton. In addition to numerous pubs and clubs around the country, Coldplace have performed at the Mathew Street Festival in Liverpool to an estimated 20,000 people and have already been booked back for the festival this year. As a result of last year’s performance, the band were invited to headline the inaugural Cotswold Bamboo Festival. The highlight of the band's career so far though has been a concert in Malta. The band performed to over 1,200 Maltese including some high profile VIPs such as top TV presenters, TV executives, Malta’s footballer of the year etc and were supported by Malta’s biggest selling artist, Ira Losco. Everyone enjoyed the show that much that the band have been invited to return at the end of June to perform at a charity festival with a few other tribute bands and Sir Bob Geldof himself.
