From
“Child Prodigy” to his outstanding tribute
to Sammy Davis Jr., Ray C is a talent to be reckoned with.
He began his professional career at the tender age of
ten, performing with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra,
The Ted Heath Big Band & The Jack Parnell Orchestra
supporting such stars as Sir Harry Secombe, Frankie Vaughn,
Tommy Steele, Billy Fury & Sir Rolf Harris, to name
but a few. Ray met his icon Sammy Davis Jr at The London
Palladium when he was still a boy. It was only recently
that Ray decided to put together a tribute show (in Ray's
own words) "To The Greatest Entertainer who ever
lived". Ray has toured extensively throughout Europe
and the UK appearing at the London Palladium, the Royal
Festival Hall and The Sporting Club Monte Carlo, plus
appearances on UK & European television.
Classically trained, Ray is constantly in demand as a
studio session singer due to being blessed with perfect
pitch and a natural ability to harmonize. His wide vocal
range and warm tone gives an individual sound that once
heard never forgotten. Rays tribute to Sammy Davis Jr
is powerful and takes his audience on an emotional journey
of fun with The Candyman to his heart rendering acapella
version of Old Man River. |

in Liverpool in Spring 2005. This band needed to happen!
Not only does Gary possess a passing resemblance to the
man Gillan himself his amazing vocal acrobatics certainly
brings the Gillan stage persona thundering to life! Gary
has been performing classic rock around the venues of
Liverpool and Wirral for many years and this experience
on the boards shines through. Ian Bamford's virtuosity
on guitar superbly compliments that of Speed King Ritchie
Blackmore. Ian's faithful reproduction of Mr. Blackmore's
twiddly bits is indeed a marvel to behold. Like Gary Ian
has been performing in local bands for years and toured
Europe extensively with Frank Zappa tribute The Muffin
Men. On bass is the inimitable Keith Mulholland whose bass
playing is second to none. Now, if you are a true Deep
Purple "anorak" Keith should be familiar to
you. Keith was the bass player with Garth Rocket and the
Moonshiners, Ian Gillan's alter ego in the late 1980s
and early 1990s, Keith toured and recorded with Gillan
and is still in touch with him. So you never know who
might turn up at a Cheap Purple gig! On keyboards is our
very own Jon Lord, Gordon Tartt. Apart from working with
Cheap Purple he has been seen knocking out the odd tune
or two in his excellent Pink Floyd tribute, Uncomfortably
Numb. However in Cheap Purple tickling the ivories Jon
Lord style is the order of the day and, as in the tradition
of Mr. Lord, Gordon certainly keeps those ivories smiling!
Last but by no means least is our stalwart powerhouse
of thunder, the amazing Mr. Paul Ryan. Rhino has been
teaching drum kits a lesson for longer than he cares to
remember. Like Ian Bamford, Rhino has toured extensively
at home and abroad as drummer for Zappa tribute The Muffin
Men, working with greats such as Jimmy Carl Black of The
Mothers of Invention fame. He has also worked with Keith
on sessions with Ian Gillan as part of the Garth Rocket
project. Cheap Purple has managed brilliantly to recreate
the sound and feel of an original Deep Purple show. The
power and energy blasts from the stage, transporting the
audience back to the heady days of the 1970s when British
Rock - true classic rock - ruled the World. This band
is a truly must see experience. |

applied for and appeared on “Stars In Their Eyes”
and after winning his heat, went on to win a proud second
place in the Grand final. Gary then went on to join the
touring show “The Great Legends Of Rock”,
in which He has done a theatre and concert hall tour of
the U.K., two tours of New Zealand and a tour of Ireland.
Gary has also appeared before various celebrity audiences
at the Grosvenor House Hotel, the Hilton Hotels, London
& Glasgow and the Chesa Vegria Club in St. Moritz,
and many more (he counts Ivana Trump among his admirers).
More recently Gary has enjoyed three extremely successful
summer seasons in Blackpool with “The Legends Show”.
Performing at The North Pier and Central Pier. In between
his appearances at Blackpool, He also travels up and down
the Country performing at both corporate and private functions
and along side various other performers on a number of
The Royal Caribbean Liners, for 4- 6 days at a time. Gary
performs at all three Butlins camps on a regular basis.
To date, as well as usual musical commitments, Gary also
performs his own theatre show “Hot August Nights”
at various venues around the Country. |

1998, Jason won heat 9 of Stars In Their Eyes as Neil
Diamond performing "Hello Again". Later that
year Jason went on to perform the same song and after
another flawless performance won the 1998 "Live Grand
Final" with 205,333 votes. October 1999, Jason returned
to Granada T.V to compete in the Stars In Their Eyes "Champion
Of Champions Live Final", this competition included
every live final winner from the 1990’s. Polling
over 175,000 votes Jason was runner up losing only to
Chris De Burgh from a decade of winners. To this day Jason
is the only Neil Diamond heat winner to have won a "Live
Grand Final". |

Scott is Neil Diamond (rated as one of the top three Neil
Diamond tribute act in the UK) and the likeness is uncanny.
Ian has a chance to show his musicianship as Neil playing
some cracking guitar rhythm's on "Cherry Cherry",
"Beautiful Noise", "Play Me"& "Sweet
Caroline". He wears the costume and look from the
"Jazz Singer" which was Neil Diamond at his
peak. The audience are totally captivated and involved
in the performance, as the tempo goes up and down and
the mood changes from romantic ballads to storming classics
like "I'm A Believer" and "Cracklin' Rosie
". Ian's magnificent voice re-creates the emotion,
excitement, passion and "spiritual" feel of
Diamond's songs. Ian's Neil Diamond tribute show take's

singing ability came to the surface when the karaoke craze
hit the UK, Vince found his way onto the hit British TV
show “Stars In Their Eyes” and won his heat
performing as “Dion” singing the song “Runaround
Sue” viewed by 15 million people across the UK.
He then went on to perform in the grand final which was
live to an audience of 18 million on December 2nd 2000.
Vince then went on to perform at the world famous “London
Palladium” compering the event which was a grand
charity gala opening and closing the show. Vince now performs
his rock and roll tribute show the length and breadth
of the UK and across Europe. He is still available as
a disc-jockey / compere and available for corporate and

Sixties, Californian rock guru's The Doors. They re-create
the sound, look, presence and feel of a real 1960's Doors
